Getting to Halton Mill

Parking

There are three disabled parking spaces: one at the West end of the Mill, and two at the east end shared with Lancaster Cohousing. Other drivers should only park in Halton Mill parking spaces, and not use Lancaster Cohousing spaces. The grassed over Canoe England parking spaces at the west end of the Mill can be used from April to October only. There is also a small, free car park on the other side of the narrow bridge about 8 minutes walk from the Mill. Please ask your event organiser, tutor or host about parking arrangements.
One option is to meet other people at the Park and Ride at exit 34 of the M6 five minutes drive from the Mill and share a car from there. This is currently free to use, and later in 2017 will cost £1 for a full day’s parking. For events attracting a lot of people at the weekend we can sometimes arrange parking in the office car park next door.
