R.I.P Phil Pearson

Saturday 15th April saw a celebration of the life of Phillip Pearson here at the Mill. Phil was a potter extraordinaire! and taught pottery here at the Mill for many years. What he didn't know about ceramics probably wasn't worth knowing.

Always generous with his time, skills and knowledge. Having started as an apprentice at the Claughton Brickworks he spread his wings and after being a modeler and mold maker at Royal Doulton he went on to teach at Middlesex University in London, and Kent Institute of Art and Design and Lancaster University. He ended his 'Life in Clay' running Phil's Clay School here at Halton Mill.

Phil Loved the mill and we loved Phil - You were one of the good guys. We will miss you Phil.
