Now things are opening up a bit, why not host a Musical Journeys Gathering in your house or garden – we’ll supply the sound track and some appropriate international recipes! Click on the titles to go to the recipe
Antalya style Piyaz recipe (white bean stew) A typical Turkish dish from Sevilay Gok’s home town of Antalya.
Syrian Breakfast Buffet – perfect to add to your afternoon or evening buffet, with Syrian bread, yoghurt, cheese, stuffed olives, salad with mint and cucumber, pistachio halava, and watermelon.
Sour Guizhou Tomato Fish Soup: a traditional recipe from Mu Qian and the Yandong Grand Singers from Guizhou Province, China.
Peach Salsa – from Phil Kaila, Salsa North West. This hot chilli peach, tomato and onion sauce can be added to any food to spice it up and get you in the mood for the end of the evening dance party.
Spinach And Feta Gozleme – this Turkish dish using yoghurt based flatbread dough is a favourite of Solana Trio – and there’s a picture, above, of one they made earlier!
Truffade Auvergnate: a rustic cheese and potato dish from Boom Bike Bourree, whose tunes come mainly from the mountaineous central area of France. It’s easy to make, very tasty & works equally well alongside a barbeque or on a buffet table.
