In it you’ll find out about a whole range of new workshops and courses including our new 4 or 5 week taster “Learning at the Mill” courses:
– holiday Portuguese, Chinese and German
– Rewriting Folktales
– Rethinking British Imperial History
– Singing for the Terrified
– Drumming: Intro to Arabic, North African or West African Rhythms
– Beginners Bike Maintenance .
… and that’s just the courses starting in February and March! After that there’s video editing , Georgian Harmony singing, more storytelling, “Mindful Mornings – Fox Walking and Bird Language”, and Swedish Greenwood Carving, Capoeira, more drumming and a Deep Nature Connection day … definitely something for everyone. THIS FRIDAY there’s a film in our new ‘fourth Friday’ series: Living Through the Holocaust, a film made by Alison Cahn and Frances Bowen of Forgebank Films, telling the story of Stephen Breuer, Lancaster potter, chemist and holocaust survivor, as part of Holocaust Memorial week. Friday 26 Jan 1 p.m. Free, all welcome.
NEXT TUESDAY 30 Jan there’s a Level Three Emergency First Aid at Work course – no experience necessary, learn the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low risk work environments. With Neil Howarth of Mad First Aid. £52.50, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Book and pay on our website.
