Wanted  tutors for a range of subjects to be offered at Halton Mill in 2017-2018

Supported by a School for Social Entrepreneurs Trade Up grant in partnership with ‘Power to Change’, Halton Mill is looking to expand its activities and plans to offer a range of new 4 week ‘taster’ courses, to run during the week (daytime and evening) and on Saturday mornings. We are now recruiting qualified and/or experienced tutors to teach in our new ‘Learning at the Mill’ programme to start in September 2017, in subjects such as (but not limited to) the following :
Holiday languages (beginners and improvers eg French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Greek).
‘Long haul’ holiday languages (eg Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Hebrew)
Computing for the terrified
Digital Photography
Doing your family tree
Bike maintenance
Italian cookery
aromatherapy massage

The four week, 2 hours a week classes will cost £40 for course participants.  Tutors will be paid £20 per hour (on a self employed basis). We expect tutors to assist with course marketing.  Each session will run as long as there is a minimum of 5 people registered. (Our break-even is an average of seven people per class).

The first set of interviews will be held in w/c 21st June but we may still have vacancies after this date as we plan to run courses through the winter and into 2018.
