Users of Halton Mill win Lancashire Short film festival
On Saturday 3rd June members of The Mill community attended the Lancaster short film awards at The Dukes in Lancaster to watch & support a film that many of them starred in.
Wild is a comedy short film, filmed one Saturday in January on the banks of the River Lune, & in our lovely mill. All of the cast volunteered their time & really didn't know what they were getting themselves into until the day.
The film was written by Claire Potter & filmed, edited & produced by Aaron Kara. Claire is a user of our co-working space, and Aaron is a tenant of The Mill & a Mill Director.
Anyone who knows Claire will appreciate that only she could have come up with such an idea & all of the cast fully embraced their roles and truly helped make Wild a worthy award winner!
Aaron was behind the camera all day during shoot day, and spent many of his evenings following editing and producing the film, and now truly appreciates the efforts that go into film making!
There were 6 finalists shown on the evening..
& 'Wild' won the Audience Choice Award.
Well done to all of those involved! See you the same time next year...
